Movies!

Rick & I got to go see a free preview of RED last night and it was a heck of a lot of fun. A thoroughly enjoyable movie. Right now I'm waiting in line for another free movie preview. Jackass 3D this time. It's either going to be incredibly fun or incredibly stupid.

I think it says something about the average intelligence of the Jackass audience that in the last 5 minutes 3 different people have asked if the part of the line by the theater is the beginning or the end. Really? You think they'd start the line in the mall instead of at the theater? Idiots.

Philosophical ponderings
As I understand, Jackass 3-D is really a commentary on the study of interpretation theory and everything in the interpretive process, a fascinating examination of presuppositions, preunderstandings and verbal and non-verbal communication.

Either that or it's a movie about people getting hit in the nuts... in 3-D.

I can't figure out which of those would be more unpleasant to watch.

Re: Philosophical ponderings
The people getting hit in the nuts in 3D was surprisingly fun. The gross bodily fluids stuff however was about 10x grosser in 3D.
If it was a random person getting hit in the nuts I'd probably feel bad for him, but these guys? By this point they know exactly what they've signed on for.

Of course, I was joking about Jackass 3-D being a serious movie, but this morning I read a review.

Jackass 3-D is not the fine performance art and cultural commentary that was Jackass 2.
