The weekend

Just a few brief ramblings on the weekend.
Thursday
Tried to finish the tribble wall hanging while watching Invader Zim for the first time. Made a valiant effort, but did not get it done. Doom, doom, doom, doom, doom.
But, I now understand bloodlossgirl's "human worm baby" comment.
Friday
Woke up and packed for CONvergence.
Yeah! We had a room! It was in the North tower and I have decided that really like the North tower!
Hauled Cthulhu Coffee stuff to chebutykin's cabana.
Went to an art show panel. Lots of good info. Feeling very confident about bringing wall hangings next year.
Attended opening ceremony, but left just before the introduction of the Guests of Honor, cuz Mark had arrived at the hotel and was in need of a room key, and also to find out what our room number was.
Helped carry his stuff up, then headed back down and found the newly arrived bloodlossgirl and sleepingzebras.
Went to CC room to put food out.
Wandered the con for many hours.
Saw Savage Aural Hotbed. sleepingzebras saved me from much deafness with squishy green earplugs
Went to bed around 2ish
Saturday
Woke up before hellbob and Mark
Wandered a bit
Cool stuff in art show.
Went to a Michael Sheard panel. Funny man.
Got picture of Michael Sheard with Moose.
Called notmonochrome and had a nice chat with her voicemail
Went to TGIFriday's with bloodlossgirl, sleepingzebras, hellbob, Nissa, Mark, Becky, and Tyler
Hot tub goodness was had.
Much sitting around chatting
Much Yukon Jack/orange juice consumed.
Did some party crawling.
Stopped at bar to chat with CotP folks.
More drinking, more chatting.

Bed at 4am
Sunday
Hotel is starting to be invaded by F**king Shriners. You just can't trust an old man in a silly little hat
Phone contact with notmonochrome is made, lunch plans are agreed upon.
Big Bowl asian food yummy.
Table is very crowded with me, hellbob, bloodlossgirl, sleepingzebras, notmonochrome, nicepersonality, aureth, and jenwolf. Big Bowl apparently can't really handle a group of 8.
At lunch it is determined that these things are always funny: Monkeys, robots, zombies, pirates, cat yowling sounds from off stage, and zipper masks.
It is also discovered that notmonochrome and nicepersonality are very nice in person and not weird live journal stalkerish type people (although there is no guarantee that they do not think that of us....) :)
Offered spare floor and air mattress at house to aureth and jenwolf when it was discovered that they had no sleeping plans for Sunday and Monday nights
Took all our stuff home and left hellbob there
Went back to hotel
Closing ceremony was funny. All the guests loved CONvergence (as CONvergence guests are wont to do)
Michael Sheard again kissed everyone on stage.
He got to smash a replica of K-9 from Doctor Who. He jumped on it!

Went to dinner at the Olive Garden
Wandered and chatted and watched some Cinema Rex until 3 am
While talking to hellbob on the phone Michael Sheard interupted my call to give me a mini Reese's peanut butter cup and a kiss. I have been kissed by Hitler...

Monday
Take hellbob to bus stop
Go home to sleep more
Watch tv, catch up on LJ
Pick up hellbob at work
Go to dinner with Mark, hellbob, aureth, and jenwolf.
Watch Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
