Ok minions! Time to help me again!

I'm looking for a Mac program that can be used to take the audio from a DVD and convert it to an mp3. Any suggestions?

Audacity can do just about anything. mAC3dec is another nice program for converting DVD codecs to MP3.

If it were 10.3 you could have used the free version of Wiretap. Wiretap makes a record of everything your speakers play. Cuts around every copy protection there is. Very handy when recording audio from a DVD.

I don't think there'll really be any copy protection issues since it's a small print run (or whatever the DVD equivalent is...). Probably no more than 1000, definitely less than 5000.

I found a shareware one called Audio Ripper. Fully functional for clips of less than 10 minutes. We'll see how it goes.

I tried using audacity when I did the Firefly discs and couldn't get it to work. Could be I'm missing a plugin or something.

I used BeSweet, and the BeSweetGUI. Not sure if there's a mac version of it

Funny, I was thinking of doing the same thing to my Firefly disks...at least get a little of the music from the show (and movie) onto my computer...BeSweet...will have to look it up.

I could send you a copy of the discs I've done, save you the effort?

If you manage to rip London City pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease put it up for us poor things to d/l. I need that song! It screams: David, I love you and miss you so! It so does.

Also thank you for saving me the trouble of asking about this myself because I've wanted to get the whole OMWF episode to listen to, not just the songs.

*snuggles you*
